A - L Tonic Capsules
combined with chemotherapy in treating cancers--60 cases
study

In this
article: 90 cases of cancer patients under chemotherapy
were randomly divided into two group, A-L Tonic group
and XYZ ( a western medicine) group. The clinical observations
on symtoms, peripheral hemogram and cellular immunity
showed that: A-L Tonic Capsules can apparently ameliorate
clinical symptoms, increase the level of WBC & Hb,
and enhance cellular immunity. The therapeutic effects
are much better than XYZ.

Discuss:
Table 1. - Symptoms efficacy.
The apparent effective rate and total effective rate
in A-L Tonic group is 51.7% and 95.0% respectively.
They are both higher than the equals in the XYZ control
group. The difference of apparent effective rate is
significant.
Table 2. - Peripheral hemogram.
A-L Tonic can greatly increase WBC (73.3% apparent,
93.3% total) and Hb (83.3% apparent, 95.0% total) value.
All the numbers are significantly (p<0.01) higher
than those in XYZ group.
Table 3. - Immunity. Both A-L Tonic and XYZ can increase
Tc & Th levels and has almost no changes on Ts levels.
But the augment effect on Tc, Th cells is higher in
A-L Tonic group than in the XYZ control group (p<0.01)
Conclusion
A-L Tonic Capsules, when
combined with chemotherapy in treating cancer patients,
can improve conditions, boost immune system and relieve
the side effects of chemotherapy, such as decrease in
WBC/Hb.
