Treatment methods:
Control Group: TAE,
Seldinger's method. 5-FU + MMC +ADR, once a month, average
3 times.
Canelim Group: TAE + Canelim Capsules (6*3 times/day,
3 months continuously)
Discuss:
Table 1--Effectiveness:
The total effective rate in Canleim group is 80.64%.
Compared with that in control group, the difference
is significant (p<0.05).
Table 2--Tumor shrinkage and survival rate : The tumor
shrinkage rate and survival rate are both higher in
Canelim group than the equals in the control group,
though the difference is not parent.
Table 3--Symptom improvement and AKP score : 80.64%
in Canelim group had symptoms improved. Compared with
the rate in control group, the difference is significant.
The change in AKP score states the same tendency.
Conclusion:
Canelim Capsules combined with TAE method could take
advantage of each other. It is a good effective method
for treating advanced liver cancer and deserves to be
recommended.
